1990-91 - Scholarship Student at the Schloss Solitude Academy, Stuttgart
1988 - Principal focus on contemporary chamber music and live electronics, e.g. with the Experimental Studio of the Heinrich Strobel Foundation in Freiburg and the Center of Art and Media Technology in Karlsruhe
Also wrote orchestral music (Donaueschingen Festival 1993) and a chamber opera The World on the Moon based on the opera by Joseph Haydn (Stuttgart Staatstheater). Performances in many European countries and major festivals, incl. Darmstadt Holiday Courses (1988, 1990, 1994), Ars Musica Bruxelles (1990, 1993), Stuttgart New Music Festival (1990, 1991), Extasis (Geneva, 1991), Musica Strasbourg (1992), Donaueschingen (1993, 1997), Wien Modern (1993), ex negativo (Berlin 1997), and Music in the Twentieth Century (Saarbrücken, 1998)
